Kazan Tolerance Center


The Kazan Tolerance Center in Tatarstan was launched in 2002. Its main goal is to prevent extremism and build a tolerant attitude among young people. The Center has developed a Culture of Trust Course for teachers, which focuses on the contributions to society of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. The Center is developing a Culture of Trust Textbook for high schools and police academies. This textbook has been authorized by the Ministry of Education and will be used by those teachers, who have taken and successfully completed the Culture of Trust Course.



NCSJ

The mission of NCSJ is to safeguard the individual and communal political rights of Jews living in the former Soviet Union and to secure their religious and political freedoms. NCSJ actively monitors compliance by the governments of the former Soviet Union in the areas of free emigration and religious and cultural rights, and also monitors closely developments related to anti-Semitism in the Soviet successor states. NCSJ also works closely and cooperatively with all branches of government, particularly the White House, Department of State, Congress and the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (Helsinki Commission) in order to further our goals. For years, Operation Lifeline, which was quietly operated by NCSJ, has provided a continuing flow of materials, kosher food, and religious and cultural objects to Soviet Jews.



Southern Poverty Law Center


The Southern Poverty Law Center was founded in 1971 as a small civil rights law firm. Today, the Center is internationally known for its tolerance education programs, its legal victories against white supremacists and its tracking of hate groups.

St. Petersburg Tolerance Center
(The Light Center)


The Light Center works to promote civil society for all in Russia. The Light Center operates from the conviction that freedom and dignity for Jews can only exist in the context of a democratic society that respects the rights of all of its minorities.


Ryazan Tolerance Center

A hate crime course for police officers and cadets was developed jointly by the Ryazan Tolerance Center and Ryazan Police Academy. The goals of this course are to form a consciousness of tolerance among police officers, and enable and facilitate effective identification and prosecution of bias-motivated violence.


Museum of Tolerance

The Museum of Tolerance provides a unique and provocative experience that challenges visitors to become witnesses to history, confront the dynamic of intolerance that is still embedded in society today.

Through powerful interactive exhibits, arts and lectures, special events and customized educational programs for youths and adults, the Museum engages visitors' hearts and minds in a journey of discovery to inspire change. 


Yad Vashem


Yad Vashem, Jerusalem, is the Jewish people’s memorial to the murdered Six Million and symbolizes the ongoing confrontation with the rupture engendered by the Holocaust. Containing the world’s largest repository of information on the Holocaust, Yad Vashem is a leader in Shoah education, commemoration, research and documentation.
